An ideal gift for Any Occasion
If you are looking for a commissioned painting or portrait, here are some helpful tips to get you started…
Photographs
Photographs are incredibly important for portrait commissions. When you are choosing or taking a photograph, my advice is to try and choose an image where the subject is clear and sharp. We all take pictures from our smart phones and tablets but sometimes the quality of the image can be reduced. I recommend a digital camera photograph for the best quality reference, however if you do not have a digital camera, don’t panic, email me the images you have and we can get started.
How Long?
Depending on the size of the piece, commissioned paintings generally take between two to three weeks to complete so please allow plenty of time between ordering and receiving your painting. If you require the painting in a shorter period of time, send me a message and I will be happy to discuss the details with you.
Frames
I strongly believe that a frame holds a solid duty in the production of a quality painting so I am very particular about the frames I choose. Each canvas commissioned piece is finished with a hand crafted timber frame designed specifically for your painting. Each graphite or charcoal commissioned piece is protected behind glass and mounted in a black frame. If you would like to frame the piece yourself you can make the order without a frame.
Payment
A deposit of 50% of the agreed price is required. The remaining balance is paid on completion. Online payment methods include credit card, SumUp, Revolut and Paypal. An invoice is available on request.
There is a guided price list below to clarify the basic cost of a commission but if you have any other questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.
